Inspired by the simple shape and perfect proportions of wild Guinea Grass, Whispers celebrates nature’s perfected solutions to move along and adapt with the elements. The uniformity of the 500 elements change while the wind plays with their flexibility. Whispers drops you back into that childhood moment of being small in a field of heaving grass, completely overtaken by nature.

DRIFT came to us with a tight timeline: two months from start to delivery on site. The concept existed and there was a prototype, but the production process still needed to be developed. We scaled up to fourteen freelancers in our workshop. Half the team folded and shaped the Flower elements by hand. The other half prepared the crating and assembled the modules. We refined the production process as we went, improving it with every batch. One month later, all 500 units were packed and shipped to Abu Dhabi. For a studio like DRIFT, this is the value of working with a production partner: scaling up a dedicated team when the project demands it, then scaling back down when it is done.
